Frost & Bites

This Privacy Policy explains how the Frost & Bites Android application handles information. The app provides a local dessert catalogue, product customisation, favourites, a cart, and an email-based order-request workflow.

The app does not automatically collect personal information, device identifiers, precise location, contacts, photographs, audio, advertising identifiers, or analytics data. It does not create user accounts and does not connect to a developer-operated backend server.

When preparing an order request, you may enter a name, phone number, fulfilment preference, delivery address or collection note, and an optional order note. These fields are used to prepare an itemised email request.

Information entered on the order-request screen is used only to compose the email you choose to open in an external email application. The email contains selected desserts, quantities, customisations, prices, the calculated total, and the information you entered. The request is not sent until you review and send it yourself.

The app uses Android SharedPreferences to store your favourite product identifiers and cart contents on the device. Cart data may include product identifiers, selected size, flavour, topping names, topping price, and quantity — kept so your cart and favourites remain available after the app is closed.

You can remove individual cart items and favourites from within the app. Clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app removes locally stored app data.

The app does not include Firebase, analytics, advertising SDKs, authentication services, payment gateways, cloud databases, tracking SDKs, or social-media SDKs. Product and brand images are bundled with the application and don't require an image-hosting service while the app runs.

The developer does not automatically transmit or sell user information through the app. Information is shared only when you choose to send an order request or contact message using an external email application. The selected email provider processes the message under its own privacy policy and terms.

Favourites and cart data remain locally on the device until you change them, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. Information typed into the order-request form is held only in the active app state and the email draft created by the external email application. A sent email may be retained by your email provider and the receiving business mailbox according to their respective policies.

The app limits persistent storage to non-sensitive cart and favourite information. Avoid entering payment card details, passwords, or other highly sensitive information in the order note or email request. No claim is made that information processed by an external email provider is protected by a specific security certification.

The current app manifest does not request camera, microphone, contacts, location, storage, notification, phone, or internet permissions. The app uses an Android email intent to hand an order request to an email application selected by you.

The app is a dessert catalogue and order-request tool and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. A parent or guardian should supervise any child who uses the app or sends a communication. If information from a child is received by email, a parent or guardian may contact the developer to request appropriate action.

When the app opens an external email application, that application operates independently from Frost & Bites Ltd. Review the external provider's privacy practices before sending information.

You may browse products without entering personal information. You may choose not to send an email request, remove products from the cart, remove favourites, clear app storage through Android settings, or uninstall the application.

This policy may be updated when the application's features or data-handling practices change. A revised version will include an updated effective date.
